Amin Jafari is a cinematographer working across feature films, shorts, documentaries, and television. His work has been selected at Cannes, Venice, Berlin, Karlovy Vary, San Sebastián, Shanghai, Tokyo, Antalya, Marrakech, Chicago, Sydney, Yerevan, and BFI London — much of it through a long partnership with director Jafar Panahi, spanning Three Faces, No Bears, and the Palme d'Or-winning It Was Just an Accident.
In 2026 he was invited to join the Academy of Motion Picture Arts and Sciences. In 2025 he was admitted to the AFC on the sponsorship of Caroline Champetier and Darius Khondji.
He is a member of IMAGO and the Iranian Society of Cinematographers, and is represented in France by APICorp, Paris.
